Gratitude

Thank you to everyone whom sent wishes about my back,
So here is a flower for you all to brighten your day.
Just like you brightened mine.
I wish I could say I was on the mend,
but I seem to be working in 4 hour rotations and as the painkiller
wears off then my back tightens up more.
I had a dentist appointment this am
that I cancelled as I just could not see myself being able to sit in the chair for too long.
Who wants me sitting in a chair with my mouth open going ahhh, going oohhhh, blah, blah, blah,
I think that could give a dentist a complex, but at least I would be giving him something else other than my
money!
So instead I had a quiet morning at home sipping my cupof coffee watching it rain outside,
We have had terrible fall weather, no flowers to look at because of the frost, just more and more clouds in the sky.
I have read a few of your blogs in envy over the heat you are having.
What I would give for just an hour sitting in the sun,
feeling the warmth on my body.
Right now that sounds like heaven to me.
So doctors orders are to take it very easy,
I am trying to walk, today is the first day without my cane for awhile,
so whoo hooo some progress yeah, backflip, cartwheel.
I really would if I could.
I know procrastination is not a form of exercise.
But stretching is and that is my mission for the week,
To stay active, to try to limber up,
to smile even when I want to cry,
to see the sun when I look at the clouds,
to be grateful for everything I have,
and to be grateful for everything I don't.
I think sometimes we forget the later,
Have a wonderful day!

  10. I am sorry to hear about your back Cinner, may you heal swiftly! Gratitude indeed is a wonderful gift, to ourselves and others. Stretching gently and then deeper sounds good to my body too. Today I will be helping split and move a couple cords of wood. I will be grateful that I can do this work.
