Culinary Goddess I Am Not!

I am a --- when it comes to cooking,
and I am not  kidding around.
My hamburger soup that I mentioned the other day,
the one that smelled heavenly while cooking,
and tasted scrumptious while eating,
even a compliment from my husband.
I just told him I used some of the spices I had gotten for Christmas!
............
And then sadly to say the next time I opened my mouth,
I belched like a farm animal,
I said I did not know I was going to do that,
And he went to say something,,
And he belched like a farm animal too!
...........
And then he started to laugh,
and what the heck had I put in the soup,
a man can't even come home from work without his wife trying to kill him,
I told him at least the house smelt good,
He said it would not matter if he died from my cooking!
And we laughed again.
..............
I read some of the blogs,
and they can cook like no tomorrow.
And everyone tries there recipes,
and everything tastes wonderful.
..............
I, Cinner being of somewhat sound mind and body
do promise I will not put any recipes on my blog,
as I don't have two pennies to rub together for a lawsuit,
and I have to admit some misfortune may occur!
............
As my word for the year is embrace.
I am embracing the truth that I am and never will be a Culinary Goddess!
.............
The above picture is from one of the Vintage Graphics Or Background Graphics.
I can't remember for sure.
...............
Please note nobody was injured,
but are being very cautious near the kitchen.
......
Embrace the fun in your day,
In whatever way it comes!
My husband is cooking tonight.
A girl has to do what a girl has to do.

  1. Oh Cinner, You crack me up! I love you sense of humor.

You are VERY lucky your husband knows his way around the kitchen. I'm not sure my husband even knows where ours is :-)

    Bon Appetite!

I guess the pic of the little mule (or donkey?) is just a pictorial representation of a farm animal - not Green Donkey Soup or anything like that, eh? LOL only joking lol!

  8. Jackie, Maybe I need your Mamma's recipe, usually turns out better. I am sure it was the mixture of spices...you know I don't cook a lot with spices and obviously I need to learn up on spices. Glad to make you smile my friend. be by to see you soon.

Hi Donna, how are you, so glad to hear from you. my husband is a great barbecuer, usually even in the winter her is still barbecuing, been too brutally cold this winter, but he is a good cook inside. Wish you the best too.

Gail I can make a mean pot roast and yorkshire puddings. love you.

Bernie, no I did not put any cabbage in at all, Cabbage to me is danger. lol. It is the evil food in our house. My brother in law, their whole family every year make sourcrout.....never liked it. But I do like cabbage rolls at Christmas, but only a few. Your liver and onions sounded good. Be well.

Claire, lol, I have many cooking stories to tell if I dare. Big hug. I think we might need a drink for those.

    Anne, your hilarious....Green Donkey Soup....lol

Joanna, when I first met him, one day for lunch I had cooked Kraft dinner, he tasted it and said, are you ready for this....it does not taste like Moms.....I gave him two choices, to go eat at his Moms or eat what I cook without complaining. I was kind....I thought God if he thinks I can't cook KD right I am in real trouble.....no word was ever mentioned again. I have started cooking Thai food and oh it is turning out really well, so maybe I can redeem myself yet....YOU made me laugh when you said you were not sure your husband even knows his way around the kitchen. Take care. Jope you are well.
